Arrr Matey! Independence Seaport Museum is celebrating International Talk Like A Pirate Day with an after-dark showing of the 1952 classic pirate flick Blackbeard in our outdoor rooftop amphitheater. Yer welcome to bring blankets, chairs, grog, and victuals, me hearties! (Movie canceled in inclement weather)!
$4 admission or FREE if you're dressed like a pirate!

Boat Building 101
Learn to Build Your Own Boat
January 12-13 & January 19-20, 9 am-5 pm
This hands-on class takes the new builder through all phases of boat building -- getting the most out of a set of plans, building the backbone, steaming frames, planking, spar making, interior joinery, and more. While you will not build a boat in class, you will make the most difficult pieces and learn enough to proceed alone with confidence. Tools and materials provided.
