Submarine Saturday

Celebrate our annual submarine day! Meet "silent service" veterans who lived and worked aboard U.S. submarines and learn what life was like aboard one of these amazing vessels.

Submarine Slumber
Saturdays in January, February, March, 6:30 pm-10 am

An incredible overnight submarine adventure that includes a scavenger hunt, activity stations, and a live performance -- all focused on those silent undersea ships. Enjoy a snack and sleep in our galleries next to a boat, under the Ben Franklin Bridge, or in the shadow of our 430-gallon saltwater aquarium. Wake up the next morning and tour our real sub -- the USS Becuna, along with the Spanish-American warship, USS Olympia.

Chinese New Year
Saturday, February 16, 2008, 11 am-3 pm

Celebrate Chinese New Year at Independence Seaport Museum with hands-on Chinese crafts, a traditional tea ceremony, and live performances of Chinese music and dance.
