Troop leaders! Bring your Scouts to Independence Seaport Museum for some maritime fun and learning. We occasionally offer badge programs for Boy and Girl Scouts so check back often -- and don't forget our Submarine Slumbers -- a terrific group activity.

Girl Souts -- Earn a Folk Art Badge!
Saturday, September 29, 12-3 pm

Learn about the folk arts of the sea -- discover how sailors made crafts to entertain themselves out on the briny, listen to sea shanties and ancient sea yarns, look for the stories revealed in old maritime photographs, and make a sailor craft to take home.

Submarine Slumber
Saturdays in January, February, March, 6:30 pm-10 am

An incredible overnight submarine adventure that includes a scavenger hunt, activity stations, and a live performance -- all focused on those silent undersea ships. Enjoy a snack and sleep in our galleries next to aboat, under the Ben Franklin Bridge, or in the shadow of our 430-gallon saltwater aquarium. Wake up the next mornign and tour our real sub -- the USS Becuna, along with the Spanish-American warship, USS Olympia.
